The Night We Met

Anonymous | Expressions

I miss this feeling. Shivers without being cold. Vunrablily and sensitivity showing up as goosebumps all over my arms. You give me what I've needed. I can appreciate music without a hunting silhouette from my past taking over. A victim mindset is finally escaping my healing body. Fortunately, I have people to thank for it. To the ones who have been around for it all, it has been a pleasure to have my battery filled and my glass half full again. Seeing myself in this light is like taking a deep breath in the warm August air, and staring at the night sky. I'm the warmest I've ever been. And my mirror shows me the happiest woman I’ve ever seen. This is the night we met. The woman I will spend now and forever with. Welcome back, me.
