The Finish Line

Mackenzie Sheldon | Opinion editor

She loves to write. She paces around her room, figuring out how to phrase the last sentence. She stares at the blurry pen and wet paper on her desk. After a brief moment, she leans over the pulled-out chair to write. She rereads and quickly presses the pen on the paper after the last word. She folds the paper in half on the desk.

With the pen in her right hand, she uses her left for momentum.

The only noise left in her room is the pen hitting the cold wooden floor.

Everyone will see how much she loved to write.
