The Big Trailer Drops of the 2023 Super Bowl

Paige Stegina | A&E Editor

The Super Bowl is not only a time for sports fans to celebrate, but also the time where trailers for the upcoming year are released during commercials. This year there were multiple trailers that are sure to peak interest for the 2023 entertainment season.

The 65 trailer starring Adam Driver appears to have an interesting premise. An astronaut crash-lands on earth with a young girl. The problem is they landed 65 million years ago, during the Age of the Dinosaurs. From there, it becomes a survival tale in a world ruled by dinosaurs. 65 will be released on March 10th.

For fans of basketball, Air, starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, follows the story of Michael Jordan and Nike. The origin of this partnership came from a sneaker salesman who united them to create the shoes we all know today. Air will be released on April 5th, but since it was co-produced with Amazon Studios, it will potentially be released sooner on Prime Video.

May 5th will bring the new installment of Guardians of the Galaxy. In addition to the iconic cast and character that audiences have fallen in love with, Will Poulter will be starring as Adam Warlock. Rocket’s background in experimental labs will also be developed in this new installment.

Even with multiple delays, the Flash movie will be releasing June 16. It will star Ezra Miller as the Flash, attempting time travel to save his mother. In true time-travel fashion, by messing with the past, the future is inevitably altered.

For those who have experienced the wonders of the game Dungeons & Dragons, there will now be a movie to accompany the game, Honor Among Thieves. The movie is set to release on March 31st.

Other films with trailers during the Super Bowl include Creed III, a continuation of the Creed legacy in the Rocky universe. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, India Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and Fast X are all installments bringing back iconic stories and characters.

Overall, these releases promise a year full of entertainment on the big screen.
