Journey of Loneliness…

He sees the grey sky,

the one that brings tear drops.

As he sees the tower of time,

the pillar of hours,

the one that sings of the bygone hours,

he seeks his companion…

The stairs of ice at night,

the stairs soaked with water,

when the streetlights come on,

he climbs them slowly,

and he seeks his companion…

The places he travels to,

some open to the skies,

the dark and grey skies.

Other places are closed,

with more stairs,

going up and down,

yet he still seeks his companion…

Long straight halls,

once lit up the path,

the one with no real sense of stop,

no sense of end,

as he seeks his companion…

To rooms with no windows,

to rooms of many glass panels,

some moonlight may light the way,

to more sets of stairs of steel,

he may become lost,

while looking for his companion…

More and more staircases,

may twist the vision,

of uneven patterns,

of wavy shapes,

he closes his eyes,

for he’s looking for his companion…

At last,

yes at last…

he reaches the white bench,

but his heart sinks,

as the grey skies cry,

for his companion is not there…
